Hand-feeding 9-day old baby dove

Hand-feeding a 9-day old Eurasian Collared dove chick out of the back of a baby-bottle nipple. Very messy, as you can see. I will be trying the cut-off syringe method next.



DISCLAIMER: This baby pigeon was primarily fed a bird rearing LIQUID formula. We supplemented the liquid diet with seed to mimic their natural feeding habits (parents feed a mixture of crop milk and seed to older baby pigeons).
